WandaVision’s ‘Agatha’ Kathryn Hahn Finally Gets Her Spinoff Series, Fresh Deets Inside!

A spinoff of “WandaVision” featuring Kathryn Hahn is in the making on Disney Plus from Marvel Studios.

Hahn is set to reprise the part in the role of Agatha Harkness in the series which is described by some sources as a dark-humor comedy however, the specific plot details are secret, according to variety.com.

“WandaVision” chief writer Jac Schaeffer will serve as the executive producer and writer for the project. If the spinoff is approved it will be the first project that Schaeffer has arranged with Marvel since signing an agreement with them in May. along with 20th Television in May.

As with any project that are in development, Marvel Studios has shared the details of its upcoming projects.

In “WandaVision,” Hahn was initially as Agnes, Wanda and Vision’s neighbor who is a bit of a snoop, but it was discovered that she was actually Agatha the powerful witch.

The Marvel comics as well as the comics, Agatha is shown to be able to survive in the Salem Witch Trials and is more than an equal to Wanda, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch. The last time viewers were able to see her in the conclusion of the show ‘WandaVision’ Wanda is able to trap Agatha in Westview through her powers to make her return into the Agnes persona.

“WandaVision” premiered earlier this year, from January to March. The series, being the only live-action Marvel series to air with Disney Plus, was met with acclaim and praise when it premiered.

The show received it 23 Emmy nominations, with one for Hahn for the title of best supporting actress in a series that was limited. One of the shows wins was the top award in the original song and lyrics category for the song “Agatha All Along”, which was used in the show’s revelation that Hahn’s character wasn’t who she was portrayed to be.

Hahn is also scheduled to appear in a short series that is in the process of being developed by Showtime that will focus on the legendary comic Joan Rivers.

Other projects in development are the Apple series’The Shrink Next Door’ as well as the Rian Johnson film ‘Knives Out 2’.

In addition to ‘WandaVision’ she also received one Emmy nomination in recognition of her performance on the show ‘Transparent’ by Amazon..
